Ozzy Osbourne is an original. He is what my mother would call "a walking anti-drug commercial". That pretty much says it all, really. Most known for biting the head off a bat on stage. God knows when that was (probably back in the I'm-so-full-of-everything-from-alcohol-drugs-and-myself-that-I-don't-really-know-what-I'm-doing phase).
I don't know much about Ozzy, and I don't care to know *everything* either. So I can't say that I'm a fan or anything, but I find him interesting. He's, what, 50? My favourite tune right now is "Mama, I'm Coming Home". Video and song from the time he could still speak and make himself understood on stage. It's entertaining to watch him try, though.
"I'm th' pri'e o' fu'in' da'ness, an' 'u gim'e bub'es!"
That's Ozzy trying to say "I'm the prince of f***ing darkness and you gimme bubbles!" Now it sounds more like "daftness" - whether or not that's what it's supposed to sound like or not, I don't know, but he's fun. And I believe he's just being himself.
Like the way he is on the MTV series. Lecturing his kids about right and wrong (i.e. Ozzy: "Do you have a boyfriend?" Daughter: "No, I don't have a boyfriend." Ozzy: "Well, I hope you don't have a f***ing girlfriend!"), getting along with the neighbours (by throwing food over the fence and ending up with the cops outside the door) but seriously, and totally honestly, he's adorable to his wife, Sharon.
So, cheers to the bat-biting prince of f-ing dark/ftness
